D4 Un-Boxing

Yes that's a cheap plastic Holga lens for micro-four thirds holding the camera up!!!!

It's not often I do this, especially with a brand I don't use, but when the opportunity came up to cut a crisp and freshly delivered package open with a good friend of mine Greg Howard of Greg Howard Photography I couldn't resist.  So here it is.  The Photography Ramblings exclusive un-boxing video of a fresh shiny new Nikon D4!

An opinion on the D4....I'm not going to give one.  I don't know enough about it so I'll just get shredded.  I will say it feels great in the hand, has all the right buttons in all the right places and it sounds very sexy when you click that shutter button.  The autofocus sounds weird, kind of robotic.  It's a big heavy camera, but it feels well built, solid and the viewfinder is oh so bright and nice.  They've put a lot of thought into putting buttons where you need them whether you are shooting vertical or portrait as well.  I'm sure Greg will love it, and I'm going to try and talk him into doing a proper review of the camera for the blog.
